North Paddington Foodbank are currently recruiting for a part time project assistant to work two days a week for a total of 14 hours. North Paddington Food Bank is a registered charity supporting local residents experiencing crisis and working with local partners to form part of a holistic support system for those who need it.

CONTRACT TYPE                                                                                        SALARY

Temporary for 6 months with possibility for extension                     £10.55 per hour


HOURS 
14 hours per week, fixed day on a Wednesday and then either Thursday or Friday

DUTIES INCLUDE

– Accurate data input of sensitive documents using our Link2Feed recording system

– Providing input and feedback into the data recording and monitoring process


– Generating statistics for monitoring, development and fundraising purposes


– General administrative duties 

– Contributing to the food banks case management and referral process


– Registering people who need to use the foodbank and ensuring that they are well supported

– Supporting and overseeing volunteers and ensuring that any necessary administration around their roles is undertaken

– Assisting with the collecting and sorting of food donations

– Making deliveries and supporting food bank users who are housebound


THE CANDIDATE

The right candidate will;


– Have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a particular ability to be empathetic and supportive

– Experience with data entry/administrative or similar roles would be preferred

– Have a keen eye for detail and accuracy


– Methodical approach to work


– Will be computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems

– Able to follow strict confidentiality procedures


– Have excellent typing speeds and accuracy

ADDITIONAL BUT NON-ESSENTIAL

-A clean and current driver’s license

Candidates will be required to undergo criminal convictions check (DBS) before starting work.

Candidates must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK.
